Battery cameras are a subscription to a chore. Hardwired ones just work — but only when the wire behind them is right. The classic failure is the video doorbell on a forty-year-old 8VA transformer: it rings once, drops offline nightly, and gets blamed on the Wi-Fi.

We run real wire: doorbell transformers upsized to what the device actually draws, PoE runs to cameras that never need a ladder again, and exterior penetrations sealed and drip-looped so the stucco gets drilled once, correctly.

In townhomes and HOA communities the route is the puzzle — shared walls, limited attic access, rules about exterior conduit. Planning that route before drilling is most of the job, and it is the part we are known for getting right.

Questions people ask

My video doorbell keeps going offline. Is it the Wi-Fi?

Usually it is the transformer. Old doorbell transformers put out a fraction of what a video doorbell draws, so the device brownouts and drops. Upsizing the transformer is a small job and fixes the "Wi-Fi problem" permanently.

Hardwired or battery cameras?

Hardwired, every time you can. No charging rotation, no winter dropouts, better video, and PoE cameras get power and data down one wire. Battery has a place on rental property and impossible runs — that is about it.

Can you wire cameras in a townhome with no attic access?

Usually, with planning. Routes go through garages, closets and soffits, and the plan is agreed before anything is drilled. HOA exterior rules are respected — we have done this dance before.
