Two names on one license

C.K. is a person.

Clyde Kent Farmer took out California electrical license #354550 in March of 1978. His initials are on the truck. Forty-eight years later that license is still current, still active, and still his.

Shane grew up on those job sites — handing up tools before he was old enough to hold a drill, then pulling wire, then running the job. Today he does the work: the remodels, the service calls, the EV chargers, the troubleshooting nobody else wanted. Clyde is still the one he calls when something in an old house does not add up, which in this county is more often than you would think.

Shane is working through his own CSLB exams now so the license carries into a second generation with his name on it too. Until then, every job runs under #354550 — the same number that has been good in Orange County since 1978.

That is the whole pitch. A small family outfit, a license older than most of the houses we work in, and a phone that gets answered by the guy who is going to be standing in your garage.
